A group of 19 students of M.Sc. and 2 faculty members of VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Pauri, Uttarakhand visited the institute on March 27, 2023 as part of study tour. During the visit, students were apprised about Institute technologies like improved varieties of mango, guava, bael, aonla and jamun, polyhouse vegetables production and related activities. Dr. Abha Singh, Principal Scientist gave insight on preparing squash/juices and other value added products from various fruits and importance of fruit & vegetables in human diet. Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Principal Scientist underlined about the importance of soil health. Dr. Govind Kumar highlighted the role of microbes in agriculture. Dr. Anju Bajpai, Principal Scientist and Dr. S.K. Soni, TA coordinated the visit of students.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ में दिनांक 27 मार्च, 2023 को वीर चंद्र सिंह गढ़वाली उत्तराखंड बागवानी एवं वानिकी विश्वविद्यालय, पौड़ी, उत्तराखंड के 19 छात्रों एवं 2 अध्यापकों के एक दल ने संस्थान का भ्रमण किया। भ्रमण के दौरान, छात्रों को संस्थान द्वारा विकसित तकनीकों जैसे कि आम अमरूद, बेल, आंवला एवं जामुन की उन्नत किस्मों, पॉलीहाउस में सब्जियों का उत्पादन के बारे में अवगत कराया गया। प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. आभा सिंह ने छात्रों को फलों से जूस/स्क्वैश और अन्य मूल्य वर्धित उत्पाद तैयार करने एवं फलों और सब्जियों के पोषण का मानव स्वास्थ्य में महत्व पर भी ज्ञान दिया गया। डॉ. दिनेश कुमार, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने मृदा स्वास्थ्य के बारे में छात्रों को बताया। वैज्ञानिक डॉ. गोविन्द कुमार ने कृषि में सूक्ष्म जीवों की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला। डॉ. अंजू बाजपेई, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक एवं डॉ. एस. के. सोनी, तकनीकी सहायक ने भ्रमण का समन्वय किया।
